Dariel Peniazek presents through his projects a unique and captivating musical perspective, combining the rich heritage of his home city, Philadelphia, with his love for the compelling sonic traditions of Latin America.

    Dariel's distinctive approach both as a player and a composer strikes a joyous balance between the compelling rhythms of the Caribbean and the intellectual intensity of jazz, tied together by a strong base in the tradition of funk and R&B.  Dariel is known for his work as an instrumentalist on the 7-string guitar, and the tres cubano, and can be seen performing with his trio, quartet, or full band, DARIEL.
